On this day 1 year ago two people madly in love vowed to spend the rest of their lives on this Earth together. My cousin Wesley met his match and on this day last year I was lucky enough to capture their love. I wanted to show off some of my favorite shots from the day and hopefully tell a bit about their love story.

The morning was full of nerves and excitement. The weather was being a little unpredictable and with the rain we had for weeks prior had ruined previous plans of saying their vows in the creek due to flooding. But, on the day the only thoughts were of love. The girls got themselves ready for the day in a gorgeous and very eclectic home. The porch overlooking the garden was enough to make you never want to leave.

Luckily, with plans being changed the couple was able to find a barn with some land to say their “I dos.” Right before the ceremony it started to drizzle and the concern for all of us was heightened but as guests took their seats, the sun came out and we didn’t see the rain again the rest of the day! Guests were sat on hay bails and “flower girl” Zeppelin ran down the aisle preceding the bride. Sarah walked barefoot to her groom with tears in her eyes and smiles on everyone’s faces as she took her first steps to her love.

In the place of a ring, they each had a unique tattoo.

Sarah and Wesley’s first dance was one to remember and their background in Acro Yoga was definitely influenced. What a magical day! Happy Anniversary you two!
